Response to Recommendations: Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability
The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation of People with Disability (Disability Royal Commission) was established in 2019 to address significant concerns about the treatment of people with disabilities across various settings. The final report, delivered in September 2023, made 222 recommendations aimed at improving laws, policies, and practices to create a more inclusive and just society. In consultation with all jurisdictions, CSV has developed a response to the five recommendations that apply to the Victorian courts and tribunal.
