Child Protection Enhancements

 

IAO Service Provider Aler

New document 'Change in IAO Service Provider' (Doc Code: CIAO) has been made available for filing in CMS Portal and eCourt. 

The purpose of this document filing and alert is to ensure the Court is noticeably aware that the service placement provider has changed for the child and the IAO is updated accordingly.
 
1. When the above document has been filed and is in valid lodgement, the SPCHANGE alert is added to all pending hearings.
 
2. The SPCHANGE alert will appear in the following screens.
a. Courtroom view screen (eCourt)
b. Hearing folder view screen (eCourt)
c. Hearing folder view (Portal)

3. This alert will be removed upon IAO status change or finalisation of the case.
 

Additional documents available to be filed via the Portal


The below documents have been added to CMS as independent document lodgements. This change ensures parties can easily search for the document name in the CMS portal document folder. Furthermore, the electronic file will display the document name, ensuring the judicial officer can locate the document with ease.

Legislative requirement updates:

In accordance with the s18 amendments relating to Aboriginal Agencies, CMS has updated labels, fields, and templates to ensure language is inclusive and reflective of the appropriate agency. These changes will be deployed over the next few months.
The updates are as follows:

Search Warrant template updates

1. The language has been updated to reflect new legislative amendments regarding Aboriginal Agencies.

2. Formatting changes. Endorsements panel moved to below Authority and Directions.

These changes do not affect the Search Warrant process in CMS Portal and eCourt.
