Portal Draft Orders
Adding a Draft Order
- To file draft order, click Add Draft Order on the Hearings tab:
Viewing and Updating a Draft Order
- When a draft order exists on a sibling group, an alert will appear against the relevant hearing in the Hearings tab and in the Case header.
- When a draft order has been Shared with Parties, the draft can be accessed from Draft Orders panel in the Orders tab (orders will be in a status of Draft - Review by Parties). The order can be updated by selecting Update Draft Order.
- The Minutes of Proposed Order document can also be downloaded from the Documents tab.
- IMPORTANT: While an order is in draft, it is only created against one of the sibling cases. If the draft orders panel cannot be seen, click on the Draft Order alert in the case header to be taken to the case which contains the draft.
Submitting a Draft Order
- To submit a draft order, select Submit to Court from within the draft order.
- Submitting to the Court means no further updates can be unless the judicial officer or the bench clerk refer the draft back to parties.
- The draft can still be viewed from the Orders tab but the Update Draft Order button will no longer appear (Orders will be in a status of Draft - Submit to Court).
Finalised Orders
- IMPORTANT: When a judicial officer finalises the orders all sibling cases will be updated with the authenticated orders.
- Finalised orders can be viewed in the Orders tab in Orders panel (orders will be in a status of Original).
- Associated documents can be downloaded from the Generated Documents panel in the Documents tab.
- Parents and joined parties will receive an automated email with copies of the orders attached.
