Log in to and activate Portal

This Quick Reference Guide shows how to log in to and activate Portal.
Log in
1. Click: Log-In. Log-In screen displays.
Note:
- To request new password, click: Request new password.
- Password is sent to email address linked to CMS Portal account.
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) may be required to verify account.
2. Enter email address and password in relevant fields.
3. Click: Log in. Home screen displays
Note: Contact CMS Portal Administrator within organisation if log-in unsuccessful.
Activate Portal account
Before start, ensure Welcome to the CMS Portal email has been received.
1. Click account activation link in email. Identity Verification screen displays.
2. Click: Set Password. My Account screen displays.
3. Type desired password.
Note: If enrolled as Organisational Administration, deselect Force password change on next login.
4. Click: Save. Confirmation message displays.
Set up multi factor authentication
Before start, ensure Portal account is activated.
1. In Register popup box, type email address linked to CMS Portal account.
2. Click: Get Started. Verify Email popup displays.
Note: One-time password is sent to nominated email address. If code not entered before expiration time, new code is generated.
3. Type one-time password into Enter the passcode field.
4. Click: Verify. Select Authentication method screen displays.
Note: A second authentication method will now need to be set up.
5. Is second authentication method to be via email?
- Yes: Go to next step.
- No: Go to step 10.
6. In Select Authentication method field, select: Email Verification.
7. Click: Next. Verify your identity screen displays.
Note: Email is sent to email address linked to CMS Portal account.
8. In email, click: Accept Transaction. Confirmation message displays.
9. In CMS Portal, on Verify your identity screen, click: Verify. Confirmation message displays.
Note: 2FA code will be required for each login to CMS Portal. If Remember my device selected, 2FA process can be bypassed for 14 days.
10. Is second authentication method to be via SMS?
- Yes: Go to next step.
- No: End of process.
11. In Select Authentication method field, select: OTP Over SMS
12. Click: Next. Configure OTP Over SMS screen displays.
13. Type mobile phone number into Verify your phone number field.
14. Click: Send OTP. Configure OTP Over SMS screen displays.
Note: SMS is sent to nominated mobile phone number.
15. Type passcode received in Enter the passcode field.
16. Click: Validate OTP. Confirmation message displays.
Note: 2FA code is required for each login to CMS Portal. If Remember my device selected, 2FA process can be bypassed for 14 days. If SMS authentication selected and mobile number is changed, must contact CMS Support Team to have 2FA reset.
