CMS File size and formats fact sheet

This section provides information on file size limits, accepted file formats, and the maximum number of files that can be uploaded at once.

File Size Limits

The size limit for an individual file that can be uploaded is 50MB

If you exceed this limit you will receive a message that it has failed.

There is no limit to the number of files that can be uploaded in a single transaction

However, the total maximum filing cannot exceed 500MB

If you exceed this limit you will not receive any message that it has failed, and all the data entered will be lost.

If you are close to this number we suggest you break the individual items into smaller packages to upload

CMS Accepts: PDF only

A typical one-page text only PDF document can be around 20 - 30KB (0.02 - 0.03MB)

However, images will increase this significantly.

CMS Accepts: JPG or JPEG, PNG, TIF or TIFF

For context, a smartphone produces 3 - 9MB photos.

A professional photographer's files can be between 20 - 30MB

CMS Accepts: MP4 or MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MOV, WMV, AVI

For context, a 3-minute MP4 at a very high quality is 5MB

CMS Accepts: M4A, MP3, WAV, WMA

For context, the average song is 5MB
